Armadillo Blue

At CONCR3DE, we understand the right tools make light work. Our Armadillo Blue binder jetting 3D printer was specifically designed to 3D print silicon carbide (SiSiC) and several alumina variants. It can be tuned to a range of industrial and high-tech production applications and comes with full training as well as support in post-processing parts.

Industry & High-tech Production

Armadillo Blue comes with validated material and sintering guidelines, ready for plug-and-play production of complex parts. This 3D printer enables just-in-time and highly cost-effective serial parts production in technical materials. Based on CONCR3DE’s high-precision binder jetting platform, it features all hardware addons to print ceramics. The Armadillo Blue XL version doubles the production capacity.

Exceptional powerhouse

Unique materials
This printer was designed to print silicon carbide (SiSiC), developed in collaboration with our partner WZR. Armadillo Blue is the first binder jetting printer in the world with this ready-made solution: you can start printing silicon carbide right away with our Plugand-Play options. We also offer several other SiSiC options with different properties, and can support using your own materials. Armadillo Blue also supports other technical ceramics, like several alumina variants, developed with WZR and Nabaltec - both world leaders in ceramics.
Production at speed
Armadillo Blue is a true pow(d)erhouse. Binder jetting is known to be fast - Armadillo Blue can print up to 24 liters per day. The extra large (XL) version increases the daily production capacity to 48 liters of parts. Including siliconization and debinding, the process from printing a model to holding the finished part takes under 72 hours, meaning you can go full speed ahead every day of the week.

Infrared Heater
Armadillo Blue features our Infrared Heater. Certain powders require high-temperature curing or bind faster at higher temperatures. The Infrared Heater uses a powerful infrared curing lamp and allows you to control the print bed temperature. It enables heating the print bed up to 80°C and is managed through our NOAH Production software.
Integrated NOAH control
Armadillo Blue includes an integrated control station with our NOAH software pre-installed on optimized hardware. NOAH features predefined printing profiles for validated materials. You can optimize the number of parts in your production run and view its progress to optimize your workflow. This printer features automated safety and cleaning procedures.
Extra Large (Optional)
This add-on increases the Armadillo printing dimensions to 440 x 440 x 250 mm. This increases the options to perform research at a larger scale, prototype, and run production on a single printer, without further investments or R&D transfer issues.
Vision System Camera (Optional)
Quality control solution that captures every printed layer and is integrated with our NOAH software, automatically comparing every image to the model file layer and detecting any differences. Replace random manual checks on final products with continuous quality control during production, ensuring final product quality while significantly reducing time and cost.
Depowdering Box (Optional)
This tool has identical dimensions to the Armadillo Blue print box. It enables convenient removal of an entire print for post processing without the need to depowder in its green state. The Depowdering Box is a great fit with fragile parts that require sintering, such as ceramics. It is compatible with mechanical lifting tools, such as forklifts or hoists.
Drying Oven ED260 (Optional)
This industrial Drying Oven is used to fully dry printed parts and accelerate the drying process with temperatures of up 300°C. We will help you select the Oven that provides sufficient capacity to dry all the parts you can print in a single Armadillo print job while offering the power and robustness to operate in your production environment.
